Hey, I'm Tara Bowman, and I am so excited that you're visiting my About Page!
It's probably a little different than what you may be expecting, but I have so much to share with you, and so I've split it up into 'official' and 'unofficial'!
Here we go...
I love living in Polson and all the wonderful things the Flathead Lake Area offers! I've been blessed to live in multiple amazing places in America … rugged, adventurous Alaska, where I've learned some serious survival skills … a hay farm in eastern Washington which taught me the values of hard work, tenacity and a strong spirit … but there is something very special about Polson. It was love that brought me here more than 20 years ago, and looking back, I could have never dreamed of living and raising a family in a place as beautiful as the Flathead Lake Area!
Imagine waking up every day and feeling like you're on vacation!
Montana is known for its big, open spaces. I guess that's why we call it Big Sky Country! Our beautiful lake, rivers, and breathtaking mountains bring outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world!
There's so much to do and experience here! Skiing, snowboarding, snow machining, hiking … with mountain peaks over 9,000' - some staying covered with snow year-round - you know you're in the right spot to make the best memories!
Something else you'll notice quickly is how friendly and kind people are out here! It's totally normal to have locals wave to everyone they pass on the road, even if they haven't met you yet … it's almost like people aren't in as much of a hurry here and know how to enjoy the Good Life fully!

The 'Unofficial' About! I hope you enjoy this part as much as I enjoyed putting it together for you! As a Mom of a large family that is active and loves to do things together ... there's certainly no shortage of fun pictures, experiences and ... oh, so special memories! Where is the time!? Life is so precious, isn't it?
I love being a mom of a large family!
I love our big crew! Believe it or not, this is only half of our kiddos. I’m so grateful to have 8 amazing children and love when they get married and add more to our bunch. Pictured here are my 4 youngest, with my son-in-law and daughter-in-law.
yup! I'm that mom!
My children all know I’m their biggest cheerleader and am willing to do anything for them! Including zerberting them on their graduation day. When this daughter graduated high-school, I did it then and it was only appropriate to do it again when it was her college graduation. While I’d take a bullet for them, my kids also know how much I love to have fun with them and make lasting memories.
going to The sun Road, national glacier park
Going to the Sun Road is the narrow, winding, scenic mountain road that traverses GNP and crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass. The road is closed 8-9 months of the year due to snow. The snow removal crews start clearing the snow for about 10 weeks every spring. During that time, you can ride your bike in the park and ride on the roads before it’s opened to cars for the year. This year we were able to ride our bikes nearly 5 miles, all the way to the top of Logan Pass, elev 6646’. What an amazing adventure!
Meet My Newest Grand Baby!
It’s hard to describe how much you love your grand littles. I’m so thankful for these sweet babies! Grandchildren are definitely the reward for not eating your children lol. Pictured here is my newest addition along with my husband and youngest daughter.
The Land of the midnight sun
We spent a few days in alaska last summer around the Summer Solstice. We hiked a few miles to enjoy this stunning view on the Solstice in Anchorage, while the sun was “setting”. Taken at 12:30AM, the sun barely even goes down in the summer. My uncle, pictured here, took us to this amazing spot.
On the chairlift with my best friend
This man is my rock! He supports me in all I do and has helped me to experience so many things. I learned to downhill ski shortly after we were married and it’s one of our favorite family activities. I’d be lost without him!
Running With the big dogs
I’ve been featured on a few podcasts as an industry mover and shaker. I’m so grateful to learn from and rub elbows with others who are so focused on serving their clients and enjoying success along the way!
Don't Collect Stuff, Collect Memories!
Ice cream runs are the best! Whenever possible, I try to bring my youngest with me while working and the reward is frequently ice cream.
Always a FORD Girl at Heart!
Knowing how to work on my vehicles is important to me and one of my favorite things to do! Along with knowing how to work on our vehicles, I also love to drive and have been known to make a few laps around the track with my Mini Cooper. Always a Ford girl at heart, you'll usually find me in my truck.
I love winter!
Snow machining is another family favorite! Even if it’s just for a short ride, I’m always down for it. Always a tomboy, I love the way 2-cycle exhaust sticks to my hair!
Habitat For Humanity Project
Serving others and lifting in my community is one of my favorite things! Helping on these job sites allows those who otherwise couldn’t afford the blessing of homeownership, to be able to work alongside others, to make that dream a reality. Helping others makes the world such a better place! Fun side note, we worked all day building cement forms for the front sidewalk and entry to this home. The wind blew, it sunned, rained, hailed and snowed all day on us. And I was so happy to be serving others, I didn’t even notice!
